Week 13 Post 2 - Ted Talk Review

Henry Romain

In his Ted Talk, Adam Grant had 3 main points he discussed in depth, he was frequently comedic but always confident and serious, and used a variety of examples like MLK Jr, Thomas Edison, Mozart, and Warby Parker in his talk.

In Taiki Waitiki's Ted talk, it is presented as a sort of stream of consciousness thing, where there is little structure and lots of different seemingly different things are written following each other. This creates humor and tastefully awkward moments. Lots of childlike humor and dumb jokes.

In Gerald Puccio's Ted Talk, he starts his talk with the word "Imagine" giving an intriguing introduction with one word. He starts by having the audience imagine a tiger. Puccio has more audience interaction by asking the audience to fold their arms (one way then another) in order to illustrate conformity. For the most part, he uses the central route to persuasion and lots of logos to drive his speech.

In my Ted Talk I would like to implement a variety of examples like Adam Grant, an unpredictable and unconventional structure like Taiki Waitiki, and start by creating interest with one word (maybe creativity or inspiration or experience).
