Week 12 Post 3 - Creativity Is A Product Of Imagination

Henry Romain

My reaction to my new learning is satisfaction in how I found imagination and creativity to be distinguishable from one another. I felt that was important to research because creativity is basically a real world product of imagination and that makes it essential to a project about creativity. The concept of imagination influencing perception is interesting to me because it means that two people with different "levels" of imagination could experience the same thing but only one of them makes something creative from that experience. Or they both make something entirely different.

My question is... what do I research next? I could find more examples of how experiences influence creativity, but I feel like I should research something else, maybe something more specific. Maybe counterexamples?

  1. Where is this new learning taking you to research next? What else do you think you need for the presentation?

  2. I think all I really have left to research for the presentation is maybe how to structure it and maybe some presentation techniques and style.
